Long & Straight. Having long, straight hair slims a round face. However, stay away from blunt cuts which tend to give a young look and can make your face appear fuller than it is. A good guide to the length is it should be about 1 ½ times longer than the width of your face.
Frame the Face. Instead of a blunt cut, make sure your long hair creates a subtle framing of the face. It creates a focal point into the center of your face which is slimming. It also gives you a more oval shaped face which makes the sides and cheeks appear thinner.
Deep Side Part. No matter if you have long bangs, layers, or all one length, giving a deep side part to your hair works in your favor to minimize the roundness of the face. If your face appears too round, or wide, it can make you look heavier all over.
Textured Bangs. Keep clear of heavy, blunt bangs. They will cut your face in half, accentuating the width. Instead, opt for long textured bangs with broken lines to give the appearance of a narrower face and a softer look.
