Unlike most other formulations of Shou Wu Chih, this does not contain alcohol, and is an all-botanical formulation. It is naturally sweetened from herbs, with no sugar added. He Shou Wu herb (also known as fleecleflower or Fo-ti in the US) is perhaps the most well-known cure in Traditional Chinese Medicine for stimulating hair growth and countering the effects of aging.

He Shou Wu has recently become one of the trendiest supplements in the US, but it also happens to be one of the oldest remedies in Chinese medicine, and was popular among the nobility of Ancient China to promote vitality and longevity.

A 2015 study suggests that He Shou Wu, when administered orally, stimulates the growth of hair by targeting the FGF-7 gene, which encodes proteins specific to epithelial cell growth, thus creating hair growth. A 2020 study showed that it elongates the anagen growth phase and abrogates the effect of androgen in cultured human hair cells. Research also shows that it has a positive impact on delaying the onset of gray hair.

A number of studies also confirm that He Shou Wu stimulates the body to produce several anti-aging substances, including superoxide dismutase, the most powerful natural antioxidant enzyme, which staves off the aging process. He Shou Wu has also been shown to repair DNA.

Along with rejuvenating hair growth and reducing premature gray hairs, many report Shou Wu Pian being effective for reducing lower back pain, strengthening bones and muscles, increasing energy, and invigorating libido.

GMP-certified and vegan.

Instructions: take2-3 tablespoons 3x a day before meals. Refrigerate after opening.

People who aren’t advised to take He Shou Wu include: pregnant or breastfeeding women, those with abnormal blood sugar, and those with compromised liver health.
