Germany and Austria both use Euro € currency. It's a good idea to change some money before you leave London but you can withdraw cash from ATM's around the Oktoberfest or at city banks. The majority of the Oktoberfest does not accept cards so you need to have cash on you,
How much will you need? This will depend very much on how much you drink. Munich is not cheap. We recommend you budget around EUR80-EUR100 per day. Entrance to the Oktoberfest is free. A 1 litre mass/stein of beer will cost you just over EUR11.
