There is one commissioner from each district of the county. The Current County Commissioners are Michael Wickersham, Gary Girton, and Gary Friend.

The City Council meets Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 10:00 am in the John Ferraro Council Chamber, Room 340, City Hall, 200 N. Spring St. (entrance on Main St.), Los Angeles, 90012. On the first Friday of every other month, the Council meeting is held at the Van Nuys Civic Center.
