Repairs:

All efforts will be made to ensure that repair and restoration jobs are completed to a high standard. Evans employs only highly skilled leather craftsmen and items entrusted to our workshop are handled with the highest care. The repair processes recommended for any item are selected to suit the nature of the leather or material, the structure and condition of the item.

Evans cannot assume responsibility for the inherent weakness of, or defects in the leather or materials that are not readily apparent prior to processing. This includes dyeing jobs where the finish will be highly dependent on the quality and condition of the leather.

Evans will not be held responsible for any of the following processes:

  • Leathers, particuarly suedes, that becomes “stiff” or “malty” after dyeing
  • Severely stained handles or those affected by grease
  • Severe leather stains that are unable to be completely removed
  • Severe leather stains where cleaning results in discouloration of the leather

While we strive to restore items to their original state, it is not always possible to return items to factory condition. Our goal is therefore to restore items to the best condition possible. In addition, some materials and hardware are proprietary of certain brands and there are regulations against using these materials for our repairs. In such cases materials and hardware will be substituted with suitable replacements of similar quality and aesthetics.

Pricing:

The prices listed on the Evans website are to be used as a guide only. We make every attempt to be consistent with our pricing and to provide transperent information regarding our repair processes. Due to the diversity of leather goods and variety of possible services available, prices are always subject to change and we are under no obligation to match the prices listed on our website. If an item is misquoted, we reserve the right to modify the price, and in our sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any order placed for that item at the incorrect price.

Shipping:

If you decide to send us an order via post or courier, ensure that your items are packed securely. We cannot assume any responsibility for damage that occurs during transit and any transport services are to be used at your own risk. Please check with your shipping provider for more information regarding insurance policies and guarantees.

Returns:

It is highly recommended that customers inspect items carefully upon completion of their order. Please notify Evans customer support within 24 hours of any complaints, concerns or queries regarding the item. All repairs left with Evans, unless otherwise specified, are subject to a workmanship guarantee for a period of three months following completion of the order.

Our workmanship guarantee is subject to the following conditions.

  • The issue corresponds to the original job description
  • The initial job has not been tampered with
  • The issue has not arisen as a result of another acccident or mishap

All returned items are put through a number of inspection checks. If the returned item satisfies our criteria, it will be processed as a new order and finished according to the original job description. Failure to meet any of the above criteria may result in the workmanship guarantee being declared void and being removed from that particular item.

Email Communications:

After placing an order with Evans, there is a possibility that we will send you communications regarding our services and products. By using our services, you agree to receive such communications from us. We will give you opportunity to opt out of receiving these promotional emails by following the opt out instructions provided in such messages. We also use emails for non-commercial purposes. These emails provide important information such as repair details, copies of receipts and order status updates.

SMS Communications:

We utilise SMS for non-commercial purposes. You will only receive an SMS from Evans in regards to order details and order status updates.

User Communications:

Any message you send to Evans via email, postcard, letter, voice mail or other transmission relating to your use of this site shall be and remain the property of Evans, and Evans shall not be limited in any way in its use, promotional, commercial or otherwise. Evans will not use your full name in any such promotional use without your permission. You agree that no such messages will violate the rights of any third party or contain any libelous or otherwise unlawful materials. We save certain messages and emails on file for promotional and marketing purposes, but we are not required to and do not retain every such message.
