This is not a sponsored post, I just happen to be super in love with bubly sparkling waters. The inspiration for this recipe was actually the bubly water itself. Sometimes when I don’t have direction on my future blog posts I just go to the store and wait and see if my surroundings inspire me. (Ok, that just sounded a lot like I am some “ar-teest” but it’s much to the contrary.)

It’s really just that my brain sometimes gets overwhelmed when I pressure it to make a decision.Like…

So it’s best if I let loose and just see what happens. I say all of this to say, on this one fine weekend, a few weeks back, I was walking into Kroger. I stopped at the sanitizing wipes station to clean the handle thingy of the shopping cart. And as I was standing there, I see this cute display of smiling multi-colored sparkling water boxes. OH, HELLO BABY! I said, in my toddler voice. These are so darling I just want to buy every flavor. I knew they would be great! The brightly colored packaging told me so 🙂

I bought three flavors, lots of various fruit, then spent a few (tipsy) hours trying to create a recipe that was “just right”. And there you have it, a star was born! I present to you, the most refreshing summer co*cktail – that you can literally down without a second thought, mybubly™ Sparkling Watermelon Peach co*cktail.

Serves4

Ingredients

  • 2-3 wedges watermelon, muddled
  • 2 peaches, muddled
  • 1/2 cup prepared simple syrup
  • 3 cups grapefruit juice (for freezing into ice cubes)
  • 2 cans grapefruit bubly™ sparkling water
  • 6oz premium vodka (I used Tito's)
  • balled watermelon and peach slices for garnish

Directions

In an ice cube tray, pour grapefruit juice and freeze until solid cubes. Freeze serving glasses ahead of time for most refreshing results!

When ready to serve, add 1-2 spoonfuls of muddled fruit into the bottom of each glass. Top each with 2 tablespoons of simple syrup, grapefruit ice cubes, then vodka. Fill the rest of the glass with Grapefruit bubly™ Sparkling Water.

Top the glass with balled melon and peach slices. Enjoy!

** Note: you can also choose a different flavor of bubly™ Sparkling Water and pair that with a complimenting ice cube flavor (lemonade ice cubes for lemon bubly™, etc)

** Note: alternately, you can double recipe, pour all ingredients (except bubly™) into a pitcher. Serve in glasses and top off with bubly™
