4 Healthy Brunch Recipes For Losing Weight In Your 30s (2024)

One of the things that helped me lose weight after the age of 30 is that I consumed a healthy brunch at 11 am almost every day instead of having breakfast at 8 am and lunch at 12 pm. In this way, I was able to manage my calorie intake. But there are other reasons why I prefer brunch over breakfast when it comes to weight-loss. Since choosing brunch over breakfast is a good idea, you may be asking yourself what you should eat for brunch to lose weight? Today I will share with you 4 healthy brunch recipes for losing weight in your 30s.

1.ONION AND MUSHROOM SCRAMBLED EGGS

The first two options will be great for you if you like eating eggs.

The reason for my passion for eggs because eggs are a great source of protein. And you will need protein in order to lose belly weight or belly fat especially after 30. Thatswhy you have to include protein in your first daily meal as well.

Onion and mushroom scrambled eggs I usually make twice a week. Mushrooms are a great source of antioxidants with plenty of B vitamins which help you maintaining nice skin (1.).

It is easy to make onion and mushroom scrambled eggs.

All you need is a pan, healthy oil, a quarter chopped onion, 3 medium sliced mushrooms, and 3 eggs. I usually eat with my husband so I use 5 eggs.

SO HOW DOES THE PROCESS LOOK LIKE?

  • You add coconut oil first.
  • When it is hot you add the chopped onions.
  • After a minute you add the sliced mushrooms and you mix the whole thing up and keep them on low heat for 3-4 minutes
  • During the 3-4 minutes, you scramble 5 eggs in a separate bowl then you put them in the pan and cook the scrambled eggs on low heat.
  • When it is cooked I usually serve the scrambled eggs with a few pieces of avocado and a slice of whole-grain bread with olive oil or butter.

2. EGG SALAD FOR A HEALTHY SANDWICH

My second favorite healthy brunch recipe is to make egg salad for a healthy and delicious sandwich. You can use 2 slices of 12 grain whole-wheat bread.

  • You boil 4 eggs for 15 minutes.
  • After it is done you let them cool off.
  • Then you peel the eggs and chop them up.
  • Add a tablespoon of mayonnaise,
  • Add salt and pepper.
  • Finally, you mix it all up for the sandwich.

Then you can serve the egg salad sandwich using romaine lettuce.

3. AVOCADO AND CUCUMBER SANDWICH WITH MOZZARELLA CHEESE

The next one of my favorite healthy brunch recipes can be great if you are not a big fan of eggs or if you just need some variety.

The avocado and cucumber sandwich with mozzarella cheese is a healthy and vegetarian brunch recipe as was the previous option of egg salad which is also vegetarian.

If you are vegetarian you probably know that you can eat mozzarella cheese as part of your diet.

Another difference between this and the previous recipes is that this sandwich is made with natural 3-grain wheat-free bread. Using this bread is a great idea if you want to lose weight quickly.

So let’s look at this quick recipe!

  • First, you toast the bread
  • Then you spread one slice of room temperature mozzarella cheese on the slice of bread.
  • Then you slice up half an avocado and layer the sandwich with it.
  • Finally, you layer the sandwich with 5 thin slices of cucumber.

If you are vegan then you can add toasted tofu instead of the cheese which will be the last one of the healthy brunch recipes.

4. TOASTED TOFU AND AVOCADO SANDWICH WITH VEGGIES

The main difference between this and the previous recipe is that you will add toasted tofu instead of cheese and instead of cucumber, you will use sliced tomatoes. Apart from that, you will use the same bread and the same amount of sliced avocado.

  • First, you sprinkle garlic salt on 30gs of tofu.
  • Put the bread in the toaster and cook the tofu in a pan by using coconut oil.
  • After the tofu is cooked you put the lettuce on the bread slice and layer the tofu on top of it.
  • Finally, you add the avocado slices and the tomato slices.
